COVID-19

 

August 25, 2020 - With the recent announcement of the Prairie Mountain Health Region Covid-19 Prevention Order, the Municipality of Norfolk Treherne Office will remain closed to the public.  The staff will continue to work within the office and can be contacted for any inquiries:

Application forms, correspondence, requests or payments via cheque can be dropped off in the mail slot located to the left of the front door of the Municipal Office.

 

CASH PAYMENTS CANNOT BE ACCEPTED AT THIS TIME.  Anyone wishing to make a payment can either drop off a cheque in the mail slot, mail a cheque or use online banking.  Receipts can be emailed or mailed if you require one.

Given the ongoing developments related to COVID-19, the Municipality of Norfolk Treherne has decided to restrict public access to the Municipal Office as of March 19, 2020.

The Municipality of Norfolk Treherne is committed to maintaining essential services for our citizens, while balancing the health and safety of our employees and the public.

Municipal Office Staff will continue to answer calls, monitor emails and process payments.  If you have any questions, please call (204) 723-2044 and we will assist you over the phone or by email at info@treherne.ca.  If you need to come to the office, you must call first and we will schedule a time for your visit.

Please be reminded that online banking is offered for tax, utility and A/R payments and there is a mail drop box located by the front doors of the Municipal Office.

Visit the Licenses and Forms page under Local Government for forms to sign up for EFT payments for taxes and Treherne utility as well as for signing up to have your Treherne utility bill emailed to you.  Forms can be returned by email or faxed to (204) 723-2719.

At this time recycling pick up will not be disrupted and Transfer Stations and recycling depots will remain open regular hours, but everyone is asked to use safe social distancing practices.

Health-related questions or concerns about COVID-19 should be directed to Health Links – Info Santé at 204-788-8200 or 1-888-315-9257.  We encourage all residents to follow public health advice related to self-monitoring and self-isolation if you have traveled or have been exposed to someone ill with the virus and to practice safe social distancing.

If you observe an infraction that creates an urgent threat to public health, contact the Health Protection Unit by email at healthprotection@gov.mb.ca. 

The Municipality of Norfolk Treherne is actively monitoring the situation and will continue to evaluate our approach and inform the public of any changes.
